Celebrating 25 Years in International Development, Teaching & Community Services

Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am overjoyed to be celebrating 25 years of dedicated service to the community and international development. It’s hard to believe that on May 03, 1998, I began my journey as a Management Trainee at ActionAid Bangladesh, and since then, it has been an incredible adventure filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and make a difference.

I cannot express enough gratitude to all the people who have supported and guided me along the way. To my teachers, supervisors, mentors, colleagues, students, and community members and partner agencies, I am forever thankful for your unwavering support and cooperation throughout these 25 years. Your encouragement and assistance have helped me navigate through challenging times and have been instrumental in my successes.

During my time in this sector, I have had the privilege to work directly with communities and partners in Bangladesh, the Asia region, and Canada for 15 years, and teaching for 10 years at Centennial College and 1 year at Toronto Metropolitan University . It has been a truly enriching experience, and I feel fortunate to have been a part of such important work that has touched the lives of so many people.

I owe a special debt of gratitude to my parents and family for their unconditional support in my career development in community services and teaching. Their love and encouragement have been an anchor in my life, and I could not have achieved all that I have without them.

As I reflect on the past 25 years, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I am excited to see what the future holds. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey.

Sincerely,
Dr. Hasan Mahbub BSW, MSW, Ph.D.
Toronto.
