CIDA’s aim is to manage Canada’s support and resources effectively and accountably to achieve meaningful, sustainable results and engage in policy development in Canada and internationally, enabling Canada’s effort to realize its development objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Accomplishments:

  • Reviewed project proposals and identified potential projects for funding on Education, Livelihood, Health, Disability, HIV/AIDS, Anti-Trafficking, Water & Sanitation, Women and Child Rights
  • Assisted Project Review Committee (chaired by High Commissioner) in the approval process of projects funded by Canada Fund for Local Initiatives
  • Ensured effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of CIDA funded projects
  • Provided general and advisory services to the Canadian High Commission and other CIDA programmes
  • Prepared Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA) and carried out detailed environmental assessments/screenings and completed the appropriate documentation for review and approval of CIDA Headquarter
